Some Time Alone {Invite/Rad}

Owlheart yawned, passing a glance to his brother Voletail as he exited camp. "I smelt a kittypet near the ShadowClan border the other day, I'm going to check it out." Dipping his head, the warrior pranced out of camp. As he walked through the mid-afternoon, he thought about his former apprentice, Rainstep. He'd always wished she would develop his natural skill in climbing trees- it would have been fun to storm the territory with her.

Purring to himself, Owlheart found that the ShadowClan border was becoming closer by the moment. It wasn't in sight, but the scent of pine needles and muck hit him much earlier than usual. The level-headed warrior flicked his ear, parting his jaws to scent the air. Hopping to the side, he dug his claws into a large oak tree and pushed himself up into the lower throng of leaves.

Tail-tip twitching, he pranced boldly through the branches, hear lowered. It only took a few careful leaps for the gray-and-white cat to catch flashes of ginger between the leafless branches in the trees. Although he couldn't identify her, he could scent a she-cat. ShadowClan, he thought forlornly. He needed to send her on her way, but he prayed she wouldn't start a fight.

"It appears you're in the wrong tree," he announced his presence.

Owlheart crouched down on the branch where he sat, digging his claws in to keep his grip. Tipping his head up in a small acknowledgment of her words, he made a noise of agreement. "I could say the same to you. Pine needles must be hard to navigate on the branches." Pausing, he wrinkled his nose, holding back a comment on the fact that the marshes didn't smell all too good either. "Are you sure? I've heard of ShadowClan scouting spies before now. I feel I may have to report this to Ivystar." He watched as she gracefully made her way back into her own territory, eyes trailing the impressive feat.

He crept carefully closer to the border, amber eyes straining to the ground to make sure he stayed on his own side. No cat marked the borders in the sky, of course. Pricking his ears in suprise, his nose twitched. "I supposed I was a bit of a name, not only in ThunderClan. The brother of Ferndapple," he dipped his head. "Owlheart."
