For the Ferndapple Plot Line
Name: Dewkit-Dewpaw-Dewshine
Clan/Status: ThunderClan-Warrior/Queen
Age: 57 Moons
Gender: She-cat
Appearance: Dewshine has short, soft silver fur and bright, kind blue eyes.
Personality: Dewshine is always helpful, whether it be helping deliver kits or picking ticks out of the elders fur in her free time. She always has a packed schedule: from volunteering for patrols, caring for the kits in the nursery, and spending time with her best friend Ferndapple, Dewshine tries to please everyone. Of course, this can cause some trouble when she makes a mistake or when she forgets about something. She will beat herself up about every mistake, which is funny when she gives advice to others about relaxing when they make a mistake. Dewshine loves to give advice, from love to battle moves, whether it’s good advice or bad. Dewshine also wouldn’t be completely considered “laid-back”. Since she’s always moving around and helping out, when the she-cat relaxes, she really relaxes. Dewshine is also very nice, but is also stern when she needs to be.
History:
Pre-Birth-
Not many cats can say their mate is the leader of the clan, but Pikesong could. Every since he and Haystar were apprentices, Pikesong was head over heels in love with her. Pikepaw was a young apprentice when Hayfur was a young warrior. Every chance he got, Pikepaw helped out the she-cat and talked to her. Originally, Hayfur wasn’t interested in Pikepaw. Even though, he continued to pursue her. Soon, he became a warrior and she became the deputy. Pikesong soon lost interest in Hayfur and Hayfur found a mate. Hayfur’s mate was Pikesong’s brother from another litter, Dewbreath. One cold day in leaf-bare, Dewbreath died from greencough and both Hayfur and Pikesong were grief-stricken. One night Hayfur was grieving when Pikesong joined her. They talked all night, and they eventually became mates. Before planning on having kits, the leader, Ferretstar, lost his ninth life from greencough like Dewbreath. Hayfur received her nine lives. After a few moons, Haystar decided she wanted to have kits. On a cold day in leaf-bare, Haystar had five kits. Two kits were still-born, two died from the cold. The last surviving kit they named Dewkit, after the couple’s lost loved one.
Kit:
Dewkit began exploring the camp as soon as possible. She learned everyone’s names and learned every spot in the camp. She helped the apprentices clean the dens, helped the medicine cat sort herbs, and tried to help anyway she could. She would be helpful to the point of being annoying. Dewkit loved to be in the middle of everything and get to know all of her clanmates. The clanmates said Dewkit would be a leader like her mother, but Dewkit had other plans. She spent most of her time helping in the nursery. She loved to play with the young kits and bring things to the queens. She dreamed of being a queen one day and having kits of her own. Even with her dreams to be a queen and not a leader, she loved to follow her mother around when she had duties. Dewkit looked to be a promising apprentice.
Apprentice:
When Dewpaw became an apprentice, she was a mentor’s dream. She listened to their instructions and followed orders with no hesitation. The only problem was that she wasn’t particularly good at any of the major skills needed for a warrior, but hey, she was decent. Dewpaw’s favorite chore was bringing bedding or freshkill to the nursery. She loved watching the little kits. Dewpaw grew older and her apprenticeship was coming to an end without much excitement. Dewpaw passed her examination and was going to become a warrior.
Warrior/Queen:
Dewshine. The she-cat loved her name. Dewshine started her warrior-ship out by putting herself out there, from taking every border patrol and hunting patrol she could to helping clean the camp. She visited the nursery everyday, but soon the amount of kits dwindled until there were many moons without kits in the camp. Dewshine knew she had to do something, ThunderClan wouldn’t survive without the next generation. Without thinking too much into it, Dewshine asked an attractive younger warrior called Otterlegs to father her kits. Dewshine didn’t want a mate, neither did Otterlegs for that matter, but they both realized the need for kits in the camp. Soon Dewshine was pregnant. Dewshine’s first litter was agonizing, she swore that day she would help any she-cat who was giving birth. After a long while of giving birth, Dewshine gave birth to three beautiful kits. Two toms and one she-cat. Badgerkit, a dark brown tom, Streamkit, a silver tom, and Fawnkit, a light brown tabby she-cat. Dewshine was surprised how happy and helpful Otterlegs was about the kits. She realized, maybe he could be her mate. After telling the whole clan Otterlegs and her were having a litter of kits just to support the clan, they were excited to announce they were now mates. It wasn’t long before they had another litter. Haystar had lost her last life, so they named the golden brown tom in the litter Haykit. They named the other kit in the litter was named Shimmerkit after it’s shiny blue-silver coat. Dewshine continued her life as usual, watching her kits grow into great warriors. Soon, Dewshine decided to have another litter. As she settled into the nursery, she met an interesting younger she-cat called Ferndapple. Dewshine loved the times she spent with her, eventually Ferndapple went into labor and Dewshine kept her promise on helping any other she-cat give birth. Ferndapple was so happy, Dewshine was so happy. That day they officially became best friends. Soon, Dewshine went into labor, after having two litters beforehand she knew exactly what to do and gave birth to her kit, Stormkit, with ease. Dewshine cared for her only kit with Otterlegs and had Ferndapple apprentice her daughter. Dewshine was extremely impressed with Ferndapple’s skills training her daughter and became closer with Ferndapple. Soon Ferndapple became Deputy, and Dewshine couldn’t be happier for her best friend. Unfortunately, she knew that Voletail wanted to be Deputy more and watched in sadness as Voletail and Ferndapple grew farther apart. Dewshine continued to live life as it went on, though, helpful as always.
