MORPHOLOGY
physique: Quite tall but with lackluster muscle build, Milkwing has long lanky legs, and a rather skinny shape.
voice: A strangely high-pitched voice that doesn't quite fit the rest of his personality. Comparable to Finn the Human from Adventure Time's, albeit a bit less squeaky.
fur: Milkwing's fur is not particularly long, though it can be very feathery and is overall very soft and smooth.
scent: He smells of murky water and pine needles, as does the rest of ShadowClan, though he also holds an air of rain and puddles, as he enjoys contemplating things in the rain.
BEHAVIOR
Even as a young kit, it was evident that Milkwing was... special. Perhaps in a good way, although it wasn't always taken as such. Though he was fearful of how far his father's ignorance to the kits shortcomings would push him, it was blatantly obvious that he'd taken much from Vanishsmoke's side. He was stubborn, the kind to passive-aggressively complete a task that had before been deemed undo-able simply to prove another cat wrong, and oddly cocksure for someone so odd looking. As he aged, Milk's hard-head proved itself through burning tenacity and a single-minded nature that regularly led to battles that never needed to be fought and an ease in overcoming anything that stood in his path.
Milk has had a generally abrasive personality since birth; Extremely outspoken and prepared to stand up for himself and his Clanmates, and not at all afraid to speak out against his own superiors when he feels that they're in the wrong. While he can recognize faults in his Clan, he is a deathly loyal cat that couldn't even imagine breaking the warrior code. His feelings on those around him, though sensitive and constantly viable to breaking apart due to his touchy nature, are a lot softer than they would appear. When it came to training his former apprentice, Minkbelly, Milkwing pushed far beyond his usual comfort zone.
While he was an impatient, brash, and temperamental mentor, he was also extremely protective of the cat that he cared for. His intellect and steadfastness were also major assets for dealing with the traits that he would usually otherwise detest in a cat. He is very supportive and only slightly pushy when trying to help cats like his younger brother, Puddlepad, grow- even if his brash honesty can become extremely hurtful. Very dependable and prepared, though his ShadowClan side does not fail to reveal itself to the other Clans.
RECORDS
mother: Littlebird
father:Vanishsmoke
siblings: Puddlepad, Sleetnose, Bunnyfreckle
mentor:
apprentice(s): Minkbelly (former)
-born to Littlebird and Vanishsmoke, warriors of ShadowClan
-he opened his eyes sooner than most; an early sign of his tenacity, perhaps
-the clan was very surprised to see his eyes for the first time, as they weren't the normal kitten blue, but red
-as a single kit, Milk-kit was treated especially well by his mother, Vanishsmoke, and the rest of the Clan
-almost as soon as Milk-kit left the nursery, it became clear that Vanishsmoke wanted the strongest kit in the Clans
-even before his apprenticeship, Milk-kit was pressured and pushed by his father to become brave and intelligent, and his harsh intentions had not gone unnoticed
-by the time he was six moons old, milk-kit had already developed a fair number of battle moves, as well as a fear of his father
-when it became evident that his eyes would never change, whispers spread about milkwing's unnatural appearance, and became something he had to get over; as well as a strange tendancy to get sunsick
-to Milkpaw's relief, he was given a cat with a much more gentle nature as his mentor, and continued his apprenticeship as any cat before him
-it seemed that he had taken some of his father's personality, and trained quite harshly
-his mentor noticed and attempted to slow him down on multiple occasions, but to no lasting avail
-at 12 moons old a series of border skirmishes gone wrong left Vanishsmoke with a bad infection, and Milkpaw with a distaste for ThunderClan cats
-after his father's stubborn nature led to his death, Milkpaw found himself not grieving, but preparing- not preparing for anything bad, he would never be a cat like in the dark tales his mother shared with him during his kithood- but preparing to become a strong loyal cat that would teach ThunderClan that ShadowClan was nothing to mess with
-although his hunting always stayed a bit sloppy, Milkpaw passed his warrior assessment at 13 moons with ease, and was given his warrior name; Milkwing, presumably for his tendency to soar past challenges, or perhaps just the wisps of fur along his pelt
-Littlebird was especially excited for him, and he sat his vigil that night
-a few moons into warriordom, Littlebird announced to the Clan that she was pregnant with another litter, of whom the father was never revealed; regardless of his lingering anger that she'd moved past Vanishsmoke, Milkwing was excited to finally have brothers and sisters
-a few moons later Littlebird had her second litter, Puddlekit, Sleetkit and Bunnykit
-Milkwing wasn't particularly impressed by the kits, particularly Puddlekit's sheepish nature, and promised his mother that he would make them all proper warriors while they grew
-though he asked, Emberstar denied his wishes to mentor either Puddlekit or Sleetkit, and Milkwing had to watch as Puddlepaw, Sleetpaw and Bunnypaw were given different mentors
-when he was 22 moons old, Milkwing was given his first apprentice, a cute thing (not much younger than his siblings) named Minkpaw; while he was still slightly disappointing that he wasn't able to shape Puddlepaw into a proper warrior, but he was excited to have an apprentice of his own
-wip, Minkpaw's apprenticeship
-Puddlepaw was a severe disappointment to Milkwing, and the apprentice was regularly bullied by his elder brother into being less nervous; it didn't help
-ShadowClan's former deputies death was sudden and out of the blue, shocking the whole Clan
-two pieces of good news came to Milkwing that night through his mourning; Littlebird's second litter would be given their warrior names, and Emberstar had chosen him to stand up as ShadowClan's new deputy
-after being appointed, Milkwing beamed and watched his siblings earn their new names, cheering alongside his Clanmates
-Milkwing finally realized that he would be ShadowClan's leader some day; he was going to drive his Clan to the pride and glory it had always deserved, and he would start the moment Emberstar called upon him as his deputy.
-a moon or so later, Minkpaw was given her full name, Minkbelly, and Milkwing proudly watched her from his den as she sat vigil, eyes shining with a pride he'd not yet known
