Appearance: Harestep has very short brown hair. It is mostly light brown but has darker brown almost black hair on his tail. His stomach is a lighter shade of brown than the rest of him. He has some white by his eyes as well as his chin. His eyes are a greenish brown. He has long sharp claws and teeth that make up for his average fighting skills. His legs are also long making him a very fast runner. He is very thin but most Windclan cats are. The lack of fat making him able to move more quickly as well as more flexible.
Personality: Harestep is a bit on the bossy side and can be rude at times. He is especially hard on the younger warriors and apprentices and even with some kits if they get in his way. Even though he is a complete grouch to pretty much everyone there is one cat who can bring out the best in him. When ever he is around his mate Doveheart he seems to soften up and become a gentler cat.
History: Harestep was born to Stoneclaw and Gentlemist. He was the only child that survived. His brother Mudkit died a few days after being born. While his sister Littlekit lived to be a moon old before sickness took her as well. The sickness took many that year and almost took him but he fought it and survived. The sickness took both his mother and father as well leaving him without a single family member. A queen who had lost all her kits to the sickness took him in and cared for him. He was very week and sick when she took him him. As he got better he had no memory of his family or sister. The sickness had took his memories away. The she-cat who took care of him he thought was his mother and no one ever told him other wise.
Once he was strong enough his adopted father began teaching him fighting moves before he ever became an apprentice. Skyhawk spent all of his free time with him either training him or playing some game or other with him. They never once told him about his birth parents or his siblings. Though they did tell him about the kits they lost. He believed that Redkit, Birdkit and Pebblekit where his siblings that had passed away in the sickness that took so many.
Finally the time came for him to become an apprentice. He was excited and put his all in it. Harepaw often volunteered to do the jobs most of the other apprentices hated doing. Such as cleaning out the nursery and elders dens and checking them for ticks. He believed that the kits where the clans future and that the elders had already giving everything they had to the clan and deserved respect and made sure to give it to them.
When he was four moons into his training a kit was made into an apprentice that would someday become his mate. Back than he paid little attention to her. But as he got older and closer to becoming a warrior he began to realize how pretty she was. When he was finally made a warrior he would often watched Dovepaw and ask her mentor how her training was. Once in a while he would volunteer to help train her if her mentor had other duties he had to do. One day a fox attacked her when she was out with her parents and sister. Her parents died protecting them. He felt terrible about it. Something in him felt like a knife had just struck his heart. It was that day that his memories of his parents and siblings came back to him. He remembered getting sick and watching his family die around him. At first he grew angry that no one told him he wasn't Runningwind's and Skyhawk's kit. But he pushed that aside knowing they had done it for they thought it was best for him.
Eventually Harestep was made Dovepaw's new mentor and the two worked very well together. She was a hard worker just like himself. Over time he began falling for the young she cat. But he never let his emotions get in the way of her training and never told her how he felt until she had been made a warrior. The day after she had been made a warrior he asked her to become his mate. He finally let her know how much he cared for her.
