Name: Oakstripe
Clan/Status: Thunderclan//Warrior
Age: 41 moons
Gender: tom
Appearance:
Ginger and white tabby tom with eyes that are gray in color. He has a white chest stomach and some white one his legs. All four of his paws are white and he has some white on his face as well as so white that runs along his side. His whiskers are short and are white in color. His ears are a little big but not so big that they look to big for his head. He is large in size and has a muscular built. He has a long fluffy like tail and long hooked claws that are good for tearing flesh.
Personality: Oakstripe is kind of a serious tom. He always takes everything seriously and you really won't see him joking around or playing a prank on anyone. He is brave and isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes or to voice his thoughts out loud. He is a little over-protective especially over his mate and kits and would go to the end of the world for them if he had to. He has trust-issues and really doesn't trust anyone who isn't apart of his clan especially if that cat isn't in a clan at all. He is a little to quick to judge someone on their past instead of their actions. He isn't reckless and won't rush into battle without careful thought. While he isn't reckless he can be a bit cocky when it comes to the other clans. He is loyal to his clan and to the warrior code. He is almost obsessed with the warrior code and he has a hard time swallowing the fact that one of his clan mates could find love in another clan. He also hates cats who kill just for the sake. He is a really honest tom and would never tell a lie. He doesn't really believe in sugar-coating or softening the truth either so he can come off a bit blunt sometimes when it comes to telling someone the hard-cold truth. He hates being lied to and one way to lose his trust is for you to lie to him. He hates when cats are picked on because of disabilities they have and will get on to the bully. He is kind of a strong-silent type and their are very few cats that he will actually talk to. With his close friends and the cats he loves he will talk a descent amount and if someone ask him a question he has to answer it or it drives him crazy. He sees it as rude to not answer a question. He is smart and always using his brain to think through situations. He is also a good listener and isn't one of those cats that only pretends to listen he actually listens. He doesn't really like to be the center of attention either and will usually keep to himself if he isn't with his family. If he isn't along he can be seen with his family or with a small group of friends.
History: Kithood: Oakkit was born to a loving mother named Drizzlesplash and a Thunderclan warrior that he did not know the name of. He was an only kit and grew up with only his mother since his father had mysteriously disappeared before his mother. He never thought much of the fact that he didn't know his father it just meant that he was closer to his mother because of it. His mother was more like a friend then a mother and she would never really punish him saying that he was to sweet to punish. You would think that since he was and only kit and usually got whatever he wanted that he would be a selfish spoiled brat but he wasn't. It was clear to his mother that he was a more serious tom and wanted take part in any of the pranks that some of the other kits would pull. If some kits wouldn't him to sneak out of camp with them he would turn them down and go on to tell them about the warrior code and how it forbade kits from leaving the nursery. Eventually the other kits stopped asking him to leave camp and some of the other kits picked on him. They said he was busy and was so full of himself because he always acted like a warrior than a kit. Oakkit didn't let any of the teasing bother him, in fact he acted like the other kits didn't even exist when they started teasing him.
When he was five moons old a queen named Hollyflower ended up giving birth to three kits. One was named Fernkit and she was the only girl in the group and the other two were named Owlkit and Volekit. When the father came he stayed back until the father left. Once the father had left he went to peak at the new kits and was surprised at how tiny they were. It was hard for him to believe that he was once that small but his mother told him that he had been that small when he had been born. A few days after they had been born he watched as they opened their eyes for the first time. Since they had been born he wanted to move into the warriors den that about that was that they cried to much for his liking and would keep him up during the night.
As his final moon as a kit went by he realized that Fernkit was like all the other kits. He didn't really like her that much and would roll his eyes whenever she complained about having to go to bed. He wasn't amused by the pranks that she would pull either. He was a really serious tom and couldn't understand how anyone would like to pull pranks. He did his best to keep his distance from her and did his best to wait for his sixth moon to come around so that he could be an apprentice. When six moons came around he was excited but he didn't let it show instead when the leader called the meeting for his apprentice ceremony he calmly came out of the nursery and approached the high ledge. He sat under the high ledge as everyone gathered around him and waited for the familiar words that meant he was going to become an apprentice.
Apprentice: When he finally received his apprentice name and paired with a mentor named Longslash he was really happy especially since it meant that he would be free of Fernkit. He knew that the kit and her brother were only a moon old but he didn't care. He was comfortable when other cats played pranks on others. He was glad that he was an apprentice now because it actually gave him a reason to avoid her. He did his best to train so hard that he was to tired to even notice the kits. He wanted nothing to do with his old den mates but he wasn't the kind of tom who would tell them something like that unless he really had to.
When he was 11 moons old he watched as Fernpaw and her siblings finally became apprentices. He watched as an older seasoned warrior named Kitefeather received Fernpaw as his mentor. He felt sorry for the tom and figured the tom would always be on the edge around his apprentice. He took no notice of Fernpaw and did his best to avoid her which was harder to do since they shared the same den. Like before when he had been a kit and wanting to just be an apprentice he just wanted to be a warrior so that he could get away from Fernpaw.
Soon enough he was 12 moons old and it was time for his final assessment. His mentor started his assessment with so hunting and he barely passed the hunting part. His body was built more for fighting and he had never been to good at hunting. Then after he had barely passed the hunting part of his assessment they went to the fighting part of his assessment. He had always been more gifted at fighting and he passed the fighting part of his assessment. After some thought his mentor amended that he was ready to become a warrior so they returned to camp.
Warrior days: When he returned to camp with his mentor he watched as his leader jumped onto the high ledge and called the familiar summons of a clan meeting. He listened to the words that had been passed down from generation to generation and when it came his turn to vow that he would protect his clan with his life if necessary he proudly said that he would. Soon enough the leader finished talking and he was named Oakstripe. The young tom was proud of his name and sat vigil for one night as it was required for him to do after receiving his warrior name.
When he was 15 moons old he was apart of a border skirmish and Fernpaw was there to .He watched started as she sent a scruffy tom running. He knew that she was only 9 moons at the time and he had always seen her as a lazy apprentice who would never do anything with her life. He was amazed at what she had done and suddenly his feelings for her had changed. He no longer saw her as a nuisance but as an equal and he realized that he just wanted to get and know her. So after the border skirmish he tried his best to get to know her and hang out with her the most that he could.
He was annoyed when her brothers always got in the way but like always he held his temper and was nice enough to try and strike up a conversation with them. He wasn't mousebrained enough to let him see his anger or annoyance, and he always acted friendly around him. He knew that they were trying to keep him and their sister apart which was why it was so amusing when it always back fired, He didn't think of himself as a good warrior but it did warm his heart when Fernpaw would tell her brothers when they tagged along that they just wanted to learn from a great warrior.
Near the end of Fernpaws apprenticeship the camp was attacked by greencough. Among those that died was his mother and Fernpaws mentor. He was sad that Drizzlesplash had died but he also wanted to be there for Fernpaw since she had lost her mentor. It seemed that their shared grief made the leader make Fernpaw his mentor. He was pleased that he had been named Fernpaws mentor. It also gave him a reason to actually hang out with her and he did his best to get her ready to become a warrior. He did push aside his feelings though so that he could assess her fighting and hunting skills. After he assessed her hunting and fighting skills he told the leader that their wasn't really anything he could teach her and he watched as she became a warrior along side her brothers.
Not even a season had gone by that he just had to confess his feelings to Ferndapple. He was amazed and excited that she felt the same way. He had been afraid she wouldn't feel the same way but it was a relief to find out that she actually did feel the same way. He was only 19 moons old but he knew that he loved Ferndapple and would do anything for her. Because of that reason he agreed to wait for kits after all they were still pretty young and he didn't want their relationship to move to fast. he also felt like he was to young for kits and felt like he just wasn't ready to be a father though he figured he would be ready when he got older.
Even though he wasn't ready for kits of his own he did enjoy being with the other kit. He had gotten over his awkwardness around him and his serious side would always slip a little bit when he was with the kits. He would either be telling them stories or he would be playing with them. He had found it harder as he got older to get on to kits and when a kit did something wrong he would really only give them a stern talking to. He also like the fact that his mate would be right with him when he spent time with kits. If he wasn't paroling, hunting, or doing something for his clan him and his mate were with the kits.
When Oakstripe was 25 moons old he was given the news that his mate was expecting kits. He was pleased and would always bring her food or water when he went our. It was clear from the way that he was acting that he would be a good father. He wanted what was best for his mate and was glad when she stayed in the nursery while she was expecting kits. He had heard of queens who had lost their kits or their lives all because they hadn't been able to give up patrols when they had been expecting kits.He was happy that her brothers were their for her and that there was also a more experienced queen there in case she needed help.
Soon enough his mate went into labor. He was out on a patrol when it happened and one of the warriors went out to find him to tell him. Once he found out that his mate was giving birth to their kits he raced back to camp as soon as her could. When he finally slipped into the nursery to kits were curled by his mates stomach. He already knew from what he had heard that they were both toms. He listened as his mate named one Rainkit after his mother and one Cinderkit after his mother. He loved his kits and would do anything for them.
When his kits was a moon old the queen that had helped his mate give birth started to give birth to her own kits. He was surprised when his mate insisted on being their for the more experienced queen but he respected her wishes. He was there with his mate when the queen gave birth to one kit without any problems. The kit was a she-kit and he watched as his sons played with the other kit. He had watched as his son hit the other kit and though he was slightly amused he wasn't as amused as his mate and didn't laugh though he did smile.
When Cinderkit and Rainkit were made into apprentices he wasn't surprised that Voletail and Owlheart got them as apprentices. He watched as Voletail got Cinderpaw and as Owlheart got Rainpaw. He was pleased that his mate also finally got an apprentice of her own a moon later. She was given Stormpaw as her apprentice and she watched as they went out to train. A little time later after they had been apprentices he was surprised to hear from his mate that Stormpaw had attacked a fox along with his sons. He was surprised to find out that his mate was the one to get on to the apprentices but he still got on to his sons about their foolishness.
More moons passed and it was finally time for his sons to be made into his apprentices. He watched proudly as his sons were named Rainstep and Cindermask. He was there to congratulate them on becoming warriors and was very proud of them. When a moon had Stormpaw his mates apprentice was ready to become a warrior. He watched as his mates apprentice received the name Stormsong.
More moons passed and soon enough it was leafbare again. Like most leafbares sickness came and once again it was green cough. One of the cats who ended up dying from greencough was the deputy. Like his mate he had his eyes on Voletail. He figured his leader would choose Ferndapples brother as deputy because of the ambition he had held to become deputy but that wasn't the case.
He was just as surprised as his mate when she became deputy. It wasn't that he didn't believe she couldn't be deputy he had just expected his leader to choose Voletail. He watched angrily as Voletail drifted apart from his sister just because his sister had been named deputy instead of him. He didn't like seeing his mate upset and whenever he would run into Voletail after his mate had become deputy he would taunt Voletail. In his mind he thinks Voletail is acting like a spoiled brat or a kit and he won't stop taunting him until he gets it through his head and treats his sister like he once did.
