what if I wanted to break
laugh it all off in your face
what if I wanted to fight
beg for the rest of my life
I tried to be someone else
but nothing changed
laugh it all off in your face
what if I wanted to fight
beg for the rest of my life
I tried to be someone else
but nothing changed
The sky was rough. The clouds clashed and mixed together to make flashes of light and loud noises. The wind howled, angry at the world for something it did. The trees bent and waved in ways they were never meant to do, and every now and again you could hear the crack of a branch falling off. Rain, however, was not present. Not yet. It would be coming, however. But for now, Thunderclan was spared - or deprived depending on how you looked at rain - of the pelting drops of water. A slender form was the only thing alive this night roaming the forest, or so she thought. Her tortoiseshell fur allowed her to blend in with the scenery of the forest quite well. No one would ever deprive of her ability to stalk and hide. She may not be the best at keeping her opinions hidden, but her body was perfectly camouflaged into the forest greenery that it was almost like she was invisible. Only between the flashes of light could you see her bright green eyes shine.
She hadn't expected to be out this late, honestly. She had been hunting, and got distracted by this beautiful rose bush, and looked up and it was night. A terrible night to be out, at that. Any other night and she would have been just fine at camp, snuggled next to her fellow warrior friends. With a huff, she trekked to her destination - the half bridge. She knew that it would provide her with the best shelter, and being so close to the Shadowclan border, she didn't want any chance accidentally crossing the boundary. Lord knows that Heatherstar would have her hide if she did such a thing. Ravenstar, the poor old thing seemed nice enough, but some of her warriors were malicious and mean. Speckledlight never did like Shadowclan.
She made it to the half bridge and the rain still hadn't come upon the territory. Lightning flashed as she made her way underneath the bridge, trying her best to get as far away from the shoreline as she could. She hated water; with a passion. There was nothing she hated more. She laid down, comfortable and ready to wait the storm out. She could never sleep, not out in the open and unprotected as this. Her tail flicked and she felt fur rub against it. She slowly turned her head, now hearing the faint breathing sounds of another animal that she had failed to notice before due to the wind. Her eyes wide, lightning flashed as she saw the sleeping face of a badger. She scrambled to her feet and backed away quickly, which must have awaken the thing. It growled, snarling mouth open and angry. Speckledlight backed away slowly. She had no where to hide out here. She had no where to go. She could never out run this thing in the sand, and so she stopped. She unsheathed her claws and flattened her ears against her head. She would fight this thing. It let out a low growl, and she let out a battle yowl. She screamed with all her might, hoping that someone, somewhere, no matter what clan would hear her.
It was a male, that much she could see. It was huge, angry, and mean. It seemed to be waiting for her, almost begging her to attack first. She danced around the creature, keeping low to the ground and teeth bared. In a sudden movement, she skirted around behind the creature. She anchored her back paws in the sand and used it swing her body around to the face monster who's flank was now to her. She leaped, front claws raking against its flank. This sent her flying over the badger in a flip motion, and she was honestly lucky to land on her paws in the sand. She didn't maim the thing, just make it even more angry. Come on you piece of filth. Let's go.
I know this who I am inside
I've finally found myself
