Bluestorm surveyed the open fields of her home. It sprawled out before her, all gentle slopes and hulking boulders. The WindClan camp was just behind her.
She would not easily admit it, but she was worried. The recent battle between the other clans had been awful. It might not have involved her own cats, but Bluestorm was an old cat. She had seen many battles, and she knew that often times, the biggest problem was not in the injuries, but in how the clans acted afterwards. This was no mere border squabble- if the rumors were true, the old ThunderClan leader had let his ego run away with him.
She snorted. The other clans were just not to be trusted. Thunderstar might have his own ideas, but it was better to stay out of their business, period. This recent kerfuffle simply did not bode well. Her own cats might be dragged into others problems, whether she liked it or not.
But she and Thunderstar would keep them safe. Meanwhile, she had a young cat to prepare. Little Tigerpaw... her fourth apprentice was quite the case. Bluestorm liked the young cat.
She'd told her earlier that morning to meet her outside camp, around sunhigh. She had some hunting training in mind. Leafbare wasn't any kinder to WindClan than any other.
