=getting to know each other= (open)

"Wow," they meowed, flicking their tail. Blizzardpaw lifted their head to watch their denmate wander in circles, vaguely concerned. They nodded knowingly at his statement, shifting on their haunches. "You do act a bit whiny sometimes," they conceded, nose twitching. "But at least you can laugh at my jokes- and you're pretty straightforward. Trust me," they continued. "I know how terrific I am, a bit of mudslingin' won't do anything."

They tipped their head, trying to catch whatever Patchpaw was looking at. "Yeah?"

Blizzardpaw laughed, shaking their head. "Isn't this still gross emotions?" they questioned, tapping their paws. "Anyways, I'm not gonna find a mate anytime soon, because I'm too good for at least half the cats by the lake," they grinned. "That's what my brother says-" they forceably cracked their voice, tail twitching. Their jokes were so stupid, but at least they enjoyed themselves.

Blizzardpaw snickered, flicking their tail. Tilting their head at Patchpaw's restless nature, they raised a brow. "Aren't you tired?" Eyes drifting up to the stars, they realized- and were then surprised by- how long they'd sat outside and chattered. Shifting in their lying position, Blizzardpaw turned their head to glance at their denmate. "Are you serious? My paws are already mush from walking so much today."

Groaning, Blizzardpaw lazily lifted themself onto their paws. Flicking their ear, they tipped their head and stared at Patchpaw for a moment. Padding forward to stretch and glance around camp, they sniffed. "You sure you shouldn't get some sleep?" Whiskers twitching, they added "You look like you've got ants in your pelt."
